Marie-Eleana First is an Attorney in private practice who serves the legal needs of immigrants and artists, performers and business clients in the areas of immigration, entertainment and intellectual property. Licensed to practice law in the State of New York and admitted to the United States Eastern and Southern District Courts in the State of New York, Ms. First graduated from Brooklyn Law School, J.D., and from The University of Massachusetts Boston, B.A., magna cum laude. She has represented both immigrants and performers and artists in a number of immigration and entertainment matters and has successfully obtained artist visas for her clients including the O and P visa categories. Through her involvement in both the immigrant and arts community as both a lawyer and performer, Ms. First has become sensitized and aware of the special and unique problems that face many immigrants and artists today.
Ms. First formerly co-chaired the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Intellectual Property Section's Young Lawyers Committee. She is a current member of the NYSBA Intellectual Property Section and is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
